Position Overview:
Works on mechanical products and services, including quoting and specifying products, development of bills of material, and appropriate drawing by traditional drafting method or by CAD.
Position Reports To:
Engineering Manager
Specific Duties:
- Plans and formulates aspects of new product development proposal such as applications for new or modified
presses, cost of projects, and equipment and human resource requirements. - Reviews and analyzes sales proposals to determine if the product can be manufactured as specified.
- Approves and submits proposals considered feasible to management for consideration and allocation of funds for the construction of new or modified products.
- Assists shop floor or new product start-ups by coordinating first run production activities.
- Generates appropriate bills of materials from prints/drawings to allow for the production of presses or products.
- Utilizes CAD and/or related drawing/detailing apparatus to generate a finished print for sales and manufacturing use.
- Generates and/or assists in the generation of standard operating procedures to be used by manufacturing when producing a salable product.
- Assists in troubleshooting with machine breakdowns by helping find the right path for solving the problem,
getting the parts fixed and put the machine back to work. - Other duties as assigned.
Critical Job Skills/Competency Expectations:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent required
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, experience with presses preferred.
- Minimum of (3) years of hands-on experience with CAD software.
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Experience with Microsoft office.Position(s) Reporting Directly to This Role:

Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have the ability to create and maintain an efficient system of operation to support the business needs. The candidate should be comfortable multitasking and working cross-functionally with different departments. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Engineering, Project Management, or similar fields.
Specific Duties:
- Establish and maintain business standards for accuracy, productivity and reliability
- Manage the daily functions of the business
- Prepare annual performance review and reevaluate processes
- Manage budget to align with goals of business
- Manage a team of direct reports
- Be a champion for process and continuous improvement efforts
Critical Job Skills/Competency Expectations:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role
- Engineering degree preferred, but will consider experience in lieu of educational requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Strong ability to multitask
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Be mechanically inclined and have the ability to troubleshoot and suggest improvements
- Experience managing processes and people (direct reports)
- Experience within the industrial press field highly preferred
